We are Bennie & Sherry Leach, the owners of Sherry's On Main, Inc.
    In 2004 we purchased a vacation home which needed furnishing. We immediately started looking at new furniture and could not find anything to suit our style without "breaking the bank". A dear friend suggested checking out furniture consignment stores and we were "hooked". It was great finding all the treasures that went into making our house a home and as an added bonus the savings were substantial.
    Out of the passion for consignment furniture shopping - and two garages and a trailer full of furniture - Sherry's On Main was born. Grand Opening was May 16, 2007 at 106 West Main St., Gibsonville in the location that had been a furniture store for 90+ years.
    Folks that are new to consigning and purchasing consignment furniture are always asking us, "Why consignment?" Well, there are several good reasons. One would be that you want new furniture so you must get rid of the perfectly good older things in your house or apartment. An auction would be impractical with so few items and you would like more than the fifty cent yard sale offers. That's where Sherry's On Main can help.
    For a minimum fee, we will pick up your consignment furniture anywhere in the Gibsonville, Burlington or Greensboro, NC area and bring it to our store. People from Greensboro, Burlington, NC and surrounding areas have shopped for furniture in our building for over 90 years. We will price it at prices that bring value for the seller as well as a bargain for the buyer. To keep inventory fresh and moving, mark downs are scheduled every 30 days. When the item sells, our fee is 50% of the selling price. That is our only fee except pick ups and should the item need any repairs.
    Our store is attractive, well lit and in a great location right on main Street of Beautiful Gibsonville, NC. The cleaning crew (Bennie & I) work hard to keep everything dusted, polished and appealing to our customers.

Consigning
    We accept most any kinds of home furnishings - bedroom, living room and dining room furniture, pictures, rugs, custom window treatments, etc. We do require that it be of good quality and in good condition.
Once the item(s) sell the consigner will be paid 50% of the sales price. Consigner checks are prepared monthly for the previous month's sales and will be available after the 15th of each month.
